Tiandao,Rendao And Zhidao

Wang Chuanshan's political philosophy is rich and complex,attracting countless attention of scholars.Through the investigation of his book Zhouyi Waizhuan,we can grasp the characteristics of his political philosophy.In this book,Wang starts from the concept of Unity of Nature and Man,centers around the traditional theory of Governance,and,based on the thinking pattern of “dual emphasis on both Qian and Kun,” constructs a political thinking system in which permeate Tiandao,Rendao and Zhidao.As the highest category in Wang's political thoughts,Tiandao provides the metaphysical basis and constitutes the ultimate foundation for both of Rendao and Zhidao.Therefore,the existence order in Tiandao is inseparable from that of human relation and politics in Rendao and Zhidao.Rendao is the inner core of Wang's political thoughts,and is embodied in the metaphysical structure where the subject transforms the morality of Tiandao into the goodness of human beings.Zhidao is the specific orientation of Wang's political thought,and it consists of political structure,political means and political goals.The expansion of the above-mentioned elements together constitutes the ideological system of Wang's political philosophy.On the specific level,Wang advocated the idea that people can have the morality and virtue by acting Dao.Virtue he highly praised is generally regarded as the extension of Tiandao,which thus provides the behavioral basis for human from the perspective of Tiandao.Furthermore,Wang thought that the virtue of the man could further externalize into benevolent politics.That is to say,the person with virtue carries out policies that helps to realize the political ideal of overall benevolence.Moreover,the saint,as the omnipotence of Rendao,is able to achieve the ideal governance of the Unity of Nature and Man,by completely practicing Rendao that reaches the standard of Virtue and learning from the forefathers.From Tiandao,Rendao to Zhidao,Wang built a creative approach to political philosophy with his unique way of speaking and logical structure.
