National Identity refers to the awareness and acceptance of ethnic identity by its ethnic members including its National Identity and Chinese National Identity.Self-esteem is not only an individual's acceptance and recognition of their own from a certain social standard,but also an attitude of self-evaluation of the individual.Life satisfaction is a subjective feeling under specific living conditions,which is affected by individual's sense of value,experience and living area.This paper adopted questionnaire method to study their national identity,self-esteem and life satisfaction of 551 college students from four universities in Guangxi.Some points could be listed here.First of all,I am going to do test reliability and validity of the three scales.And then,the obtained data were analyzed by independent samples-T test,Analysis of Variance,correlation analysis,regression analysis and intermediary effect analysis.The study drew the following conclusions.First,on the whole,ethnic minority college students generally have a higher degree of identification with their own ethnic group and the Chinese ethnic group,showing a strong sense of national community and love for the big family of the Chinese nation.Second,In terms of different demographic variables,ethnic minority college students have different ethnic identity,self-esteem and life satisfaction.Minority college students with excellent academic performance and serving as student cadres showed higher national identity,Chinese national identity,self-esteem and life satisfaction.Compared with minority college students from rural areas,minority college students from urban areas have higher self-esteem and higher academic satisfaction,but lower school satisfaction.Compared with liberal artsstudents and science students,art students have stronger Chinese national emotion.Ethnic minority college students whose parents have college education or above are more likely to have Chinese ethnic identity,Chinese ethnic evaluation,self-esteem and academic satisfaction than those whose parents have primary school education.Third,There was a significant correlation between ethnic identity,self-esteem and life satisfaction of minority college students.Both national identity and Chinese national identity are significantly and positively correlated with self-esteem,self-esteem and life satisfaction,and both national identity and Chinese national identity are significantly and positively correlated with life satisfaction.Fourth,Both national identity and self-esteem have significant positive predictive effects on life satisfaction,and self-esteem plays a partial mediating role between national identity and life satisfaction.National Identity can directly predict life satisfaction,and it can also indirectly predict life satisfaction thought the mediating effect of self-esteem.
