A Study Of Gong Zizhen's Public And Private Values

In the Ming and Qing dynasties,"private" gradually began to receive attention.Among them,Gong Zizhen as an important figure of modern philosophy,put forward the viewpoint of valuing private in the concept of public and private.Gong Zizhen clearly put forward the proposition that "everyone has his own privacy" in on privacy,which raised privacy to a new level.Gong Zizhen's view of public affairs was influenced by the concept of public and private in the Ming and Qing dynasties.Therefore,this paper mainly discusses the specific concept of Gong Zizhen's public and private views,Advantages and Disadvantages of Gong Zizhen's View on Public and Private.The first chapter briefly analyzes the development of public and private concepts from the pre-Qin,Wei and Jin,Song and Ming,and Ming and Qing Dynasties,the public and private issues of each age have different characteristics.During the Ming and Qing Dynasties,the thinkers represented by Li Zhi thought that "Privateness" was indispensable after further consideration of "Privateness",It was the intrinsic motivation of people to pursue their interests,which led to Gong Zizhen's public and private thoughts.The second chapter focuses on the interpretation of Gong Zizhen's public and private views through Gong Zizhen's discussion of the concepts of public,private,public and private relationship,private,mental effort and me,self and other self and their mutual relations.It is found that Gong Zizhen's public and private thoughts are very similar to Li Zhi's,so the fourth section of this chapter respectively from the "childlike innocence" and "selfish","everyone has private" and "nature has private" two aspects,Gong Zizhen and Li Zhi are compared and analyzed.Both of them pay more attention to the issue of "Privacy",attach importance to privacy and oppose the "preservation of public and destruction of privacy",and advocate the display of individual self-consciousness.The third chapter mainly comments on Gong Zizhen's Public and Private view.Gong Zizhen's view of public affairs has a great breakthrough compared with the traditional one.The thought of valuing private reflects Gong Zizhen's critical spirit of defying the tradition,which is also a kind of expression of the rise of modern self-consciousness.However,Gong Zizhen's view of Public and Private affairs also has its own limitations.First,it doesn`t explain clearly the reasons for the emergence of private affairs;Second,it doesn`t fully understand the relativity of Public and Private affairs.Finally,three conclusions are drawn: First,Gong Zizhen acknowledges the rationality of people's "private",opposes the suppression of human desire,and encourages the development of people's self-consciousness.Second,Gong Zizhen recognized the difference between public and private,and opposed the use of the public sphere to suppress the private sphere.Third,Gong Zizhen's concept of public and private is a bold innovation compared with the traditional Public and Private view.He acknowledges the rationality of personal opinions and opposes the suppression of personal opinions by "justice".
