As the main director of this film,during the three months of filming and production,I have a more real and rational understanding and recognition of the documentary.Telling Chinese stories well is the core pursuit of "Two People's Chinese Stories" in the five-part documentary series "Drama Talking about China".This film is recorded in the course of progress,with long-lens documentary,with details of the characterization.This 25-minute documentary tells the story of the times full of dreams and pursuits of the small people in the background of the times through tracking documentary shooting and live interviews in different time and space.The Chinese Story of Two People in the series "Talking about China" takes the unique stories of Wang Xiaoping,a famous dramatist,and Zhao Zhixing,a black international student,as the starting point,and uses Montage's parallel and intersecting double-line structure to record truly and objectively the feelings of 40 years of reform and opening-up under the background of globalization.Documentary is about telling stories,telling good stories.These are two very good stories with a long span.They don't know each other,but they are structured together through this documentary.Wang Xiaoping's time-stamped Peking Man in New York went to overseas markets.Zhao Zhi,a foreign student,came to China because the drama liked China.At the end of the story,Zhao's trip won the "World Chinese Bridge Championship" and was invited to host the global "Beijing Night" evening party.Writer Wang Xiaoping is planning the "Peking People in New York" sister story "Peking People in New York".The director of the character documentary "Drama Talking about China" expounds the gains and losses of the documentary creation process from the aspects of topic selection,planning,content,structure,style orientation,audio-visual narrative language and techniques,and from the perspective of practice and theory.
