Image is an important component of the artistic conception of Chinese classical poetry.Among the many images that constitute the artistic conception,plants are the majority.As an important object for poets to express their inner feelings,image plays an important role in Chinese classical literature.In the pre-Qin period,plants mainly triggers poet's emotion.With the development of literature,poets injected more feelings into them.These plant images became an important component of the artistic conception of Chinese classical literature.The image of peach and plum has appeared many times in the Complete Poetry of the Tang Dynasty.Its cultural origin can be traced back to the Book of Songs.It is still a common image in Chinese literature.This paper combs the image of peach and plum in the Complete Poetry of the Tang Dynasty,explores its various meanings.Meanwhile this paper researches the relationship between the image of peach and plum and other images,so as to explore the richer cultural value and aesthetic implication of the image of peach and plum.With the development of Tang Dynasty,the image of peach and plum derives many meanings,reflecting the political change of Tang Dynasty society and the change of people's mentality.The image of peach and plum can also be called a mirror reflecting the social life of Tang Dynasty.The image of peach and plum develops from elegance to vulgarity,and expresses different thoughts and feelings by comparing it with other plant images.Its position and artistic value in the literature of Tang Dynasty are worthy of further study.
