| International Students act as a tache in the communication of Chinese culture and foreign culture.They promote the development of China's modernization process.At the end of Qing Dynasty,in the name of being strong and rich,the Westernization Group launched a group of modern military and civil enterprises.To achieve the target,the westernization movement founded new schools,and sent students to study abroad for fostering a large quantity of talented people.Westernization movement lifted the curtain on the overseas education in modern China.In the history of Chinese modern overseas education,both the influence and the sums of Chinese students who studied in Japan are unprecedented.In 1 896,the Qing Government sent students to study in Japan for the first time,which lifted the curtain on studying in Japan.Since then,Chinese students who studied in Japan were in an strand.Since the outbreak of the Sino-Japanese war in 1937,studying in Japan had been in a recession.As a result,the education ended temporarily.This article describes the background of overseas study,the course of history,characteristic of the students,characteristics of subject during 1896-1937,students' outstanding contributions to the modern science,and beneficial historical enlightenment for descendents.This paper involves preface,text and concluding remarks.The preface is a systematic generalization of related domestic and abroad researches work on this subject.It covers the research theme,framework contents,analytical methods,originalities points of this dissertation.The text is the main body of the paper,which includes three parts.The first and the second chapters are the first part.The first chapter discusses the policy of studying abroad during the era.And the second the chapter analyzes the characteristics of the students affected by policies.The second part is the most important part that involves the forth chapter.It explores that the students played a very important role in the development of Chinese modern science.The third part includes the reflection and the enlightenment that I learnt from the education for studying in Japan.The first chapter preface is divided into five parts:Outline selected topic basis,Research dynamic,Major point innovation and deficiency,Define the subject.The second chapter mainly analyzes the policies and the objective factors study studying in Japan.The conclusion is that characteristics of students were influenced by policies.The third chapter discusses the historical process of the education and characteristics of students to show their periodicity and characteristic.This article focuses on the students who specialized in science and technology.The fourth chapter is the key section.This chapter is mainly divided into several parts:the Chinese students' significant contribution in such areas:the spread of modern scientific ideas,the improvement of China's modern education,and the formation of the scientific community,participation in the modern scientific research,and China's military modernization.They made great contributions in the theoretical study of the modern science,especially in science,such as mathematics,physics etc.The students are also committed to set up industry.The paper mostly takes the chemical industry and the textile industry for example.In addition,the students has made great contributions in the field of Chinese modern military,mainly embodying in spreading military theory,developing military education,introducing military technology,etc.The fifth chapter discusses that studying abroad movement had double effects on process of the Chinese modern scienceConcluding remarks sum up the whole paper.Through above analysis of the features of students,we can see the students are one of the builders of the Chinese scientific modernization.And they play an important role in the spread of western modern science and culture.The movement has a very important position in the history of Chinese modern education.That has referential significance to our overseas study. |
