"Locative particles" are special words in modern Chinese.Even if they are few in number, its frequency of use is high.International students always have a high rate of error occurrence when they use "locative particles".The research object of this paper is Chinese locative particle "dong/nan/xi/bei,"shang and xia","qian and hou","nei/li/zhong/wai".This article first examines the concept of locative paricles in Modern Chinese, and on this basis,it analyzes the meanings and syntactic functions of the above 12 locative particles. Then, the comparative analysis of the locative particles system in Chinese and Malagasy language is carried out, including the contrastive analysis of part of speech, meaning and syntactic features. Then a questionnaire survey was conducted to examine the errors in the use of Chinese locative particles obtained from Malagasy students,The content of the investigation mainly involves the mastery of the looming situation of the locative words in the format "zai + mingci + fangweici",the acquisition of the ambiguity of the directional words "qian" and "hou",the acquisition of the non use of preposition "zai" as well as the acquisition of the correct extended usage of locative particles "shang" "xia" "nei" "li" "zhong".The result of the experiment shows that Malagasy students have a stronger ability to use the commonly used locative particles "zhong","shang" and "xia",and students have the highest bias in the use of locative particles "nei" and "li".We tried to explain the causes of errors and proposed targeted teaching strategies and recommendations. We hope that this article will draw attention to the study of chinese locative particles by Malagasy students. We also hope that Malagasy students will pay more attention to the importance of Chinese locative particles.
