The Meishan culture is a late Neolithic archaeological culture mainly distributed in central Henan.Since it was first discovered in 1950 s,it has been compared with other archaeological cultures.The depth and breadth of its research is still shallow.According to the archaeological excavations of the sites such as Meishan,Xinzhai,Wadian,Hao Jiatai and Wang Chenggang,which have been excavated so far,This paper will again discuss the stage and age of Meishan culture according to the morphological characteristics of pottery in order to assist the study of Meishan culture.The introduction part of this paper to discuss the space of mountain culture,broadly defined time range,generalizes the previous field excavation,and briefly lists the research history of mountain culture,and for the purpose of this study and methods.The second is the definition and material determination of coal mountain culture.The chapter of the ruzhou mountain,new ones new Zhai,jin tile shop,yancheng hao home,dengfeng city post sites such as mountain unearthed cultural relics has carried on the analysis of the cultural landscape.In addition,through the analysis of the cultural features of the "new abatis",the survival of the "new period" is also identified as the coal mountain cultural relic.Finally,it defines which remains of the above sites and other sites belong to the culture of coal mountain.Next,this culture is divided by group study of site materials,and its relative and absolute age range is defined.The conclusion part summarizes the research results of this paper and points out the shortcomings of this paper.
