The myth is the product of human attempts to understand and explain the unknown natural environment in ancient times.Lu Xun once analyzed the reason of Chinese myth " only fragmentary" in “history of Chinese novel”,one of the reason is the practical second is the imprisonment of Confucianism,so in the pre-Qin period without the erosion of Confucian culture is the brilliant period of the development of Chinese myth.Shanhaijing,written in the pre-Qin period,is the first masterpiece of myth and mystery in Chinese mind.Hu Yinglin once said: shanhaijing,the ancestor of strange language in ancient and modern times,so the study of myth in ancient and modern China and foreign countries will not escape shanhaijing.In China's ceramic decoration culture,the mythological and legendary decorative patterns have always accounted for a large proportion,from the Wei and Jin dynasties on the Ming food tank flying and Buddha,people in the concrete ceramic to join the abstract myth,make myth more realistic significance and ceramic more dreamy sense,enriched the Chinese ceramic decoration culture.This paper explains the source and method of my creation,analyzes the characteristics of god beast image in shanhaijing and the painting method of three-dimensional planarization in ceramic decoration.Works are mainly based on the "shanhaijing" exotic animal image as a creative source,with western oil painting space expression design fit today's aesthetic works,hoping to explore the expansion of ceramic decoration on the basis of traditional Chinese myth theme decoration culture,to achieve the " shanhaijing" creative thinking characteristics in the application of modern creation,but also in the art practice to express their understanding of the inheritance and innovation of traditional Chinese culture.
