A Practice Report On Interpreting At The Fortune Forum In The Fourth Chengdu International Urban Modern Agriculture EXPO

Interpreters' subjectivity has long been neglected because of people's inadequacy of understanding on interpreting activities.In fact,in the process of interpreting,interpreters are not just the invisible person and the sirens that simply perform symbol transcoding.On the contrary,interpreters are able to exert his/her visibility consciousness of subjectivity consciousness and use their multilingual cultural and social knowledge to influence the directions and results of the communicative activities.This dissertation is an interpreting practical report.Utilizing the real interpreting activity the author has served as an interpreter as examples,this paper will use the authentic material to conduct analysis of interpreters' visibility consciousness shown in interpreting act.The author uses Bakhtin's dialogue theory as the theoretical framework and adopts the case analysis as researching method to explore how interpreters choose appropriate interpreting strategies based on the interpreter's explicit visibility consciousness in the practice of interpreting so as to achieve the purpose of communication.The article concludes that the essence and the core of the interpreting activities should be communication.Interpreters should fully recognize and respect the differences of the positions of both parties and regard communication as the core and ultimate purpose of the interpreting task.Meanwhile,interpreters are the co-constructors of communication and are the important third parties to promote communication.Interpreters should cultivate their own sense of subjectivity consciousness in their practice and properly use their subjectivity,initiative,and creativity to promote communication between the two sides of communication.Only in this way can interpreters truly fulfill the role of an interpreter and complete the task of interpreting.In general,investigations on the roles of interpreters' subjectivity consciousness in interpreting activities is conducive to interpreters to accurately grasp the role and the status,highlight the importance of interpreters as the interpreting subjects,and be helpful for the application and improvement of interpreting strategies for interpreters in interpreting tasks in future.
