Research On Chaozhou Agricultural History Of The Republic Of China

During the period of the Republic of China,with the situation of internal disorder and foreign invasions,the chorography editing work was halted.However,with the scholars,efforts and the government,s advocates,the scholars have compiled more than 1,500 kinds of local records,Jao Tsung-I has completed "Chaozhou Chorography",this paper contains a plenty of the history of agricultural informat ion of Chaozhou region.Due to lack of enough attention from academics,further research is needed.In this paper,during the period of the Republic of China,we take Jao Tsung-I compilat ion "Chaozhou Chorography" as the investigat ion object,make full use of the paper and the " Chaozhou Chorography " farming history data.From the classification and analysis,we have done research in farming,forestry,animal,husbandary and fishery aspects of Chaozhou region during the per iod of the Republic of China of the agricultural development and ecological environment change history.To make more comprehensive,systematic,thorough and scientific research.Make efforts to outline Chaozhou region,s status,the development of agriculture and local characteristics,deepen people,s understanding of the history of local agricultural information,content and value during the Republic of China.Through the analysis,we found that during that period,though agricultural production in Chaozhou advanced slowly,certain achievements had been made in land development,food production,forestry and fisheries,which had formed the local characteristics of agricultural production.By the stimulation of modern capital market,the specialized management institut ions,a group of modern agricultural enterprises have emerged in a small scale.With the opening of Shantou port,Chaozhou commodity economy also has obtained certain development.However,due to the frequent civil war during the Republic of China,the economic interests of the local were subject to the inter ests of the state,As the feudal forces were still strong,frequent disasters from the Japanese aggressors,seriously interfered with the agricultural development of Chaozhou,leading to recession of the rural economy and the farmers lived in poverty.As a result,agricultural economy had contained substantial development which was interweaved with agricultural environmental turbulence,constituting the bas ic features of Chaozhou agriculture at that time.In addition,analys is of agricultural development s ituat ion in the Chaozhou region during the period of the Republic of China.Serves as a decent reference for further exploring the agricultural ecological consciousness of local society and ecological environment protection behavior,the current "three agricultural issues" questions,and particularly for the socialism new rural construction have reference.
