Proper use of language requires good understanding of the associated honorifics because using appropriate language plays a significant role in the way of respecting people as well as living a well-mannered life.While teaching foreign students and meeting them,it can be seen that some students use casual language to their superiors even for simple answers as they become accustomed to the way they learned from their friends unconsciously,and corrections cannot be made easily even after being pointed out many times.Moreover,Koreans whose language habits are not well formed in their childhood are often regarded as lacking of manners.Therefore,the way of raising the respect to the hearer,existing categories and sequence differences presented in the 5th grade Korean textbook in Korea and Joseon language textbook in China are examined and the importance are studiedFor the convenience of the discussion,the standard is settled as Korean hearer-rasing system,by adjusting the levels of hearer-rasing system used in Joseon language to the ones used in Korean.By investigating the final functioning words used to realize the 6 levels of hearer-rasing function in the mentioned two textbooks,it can be classified into "habsyoche,""haoche,""hageche,""haeyoche,""haelache,”and"haeche".Slight differences can be seen in distributions as well as sequences.Comparing with Joseon language,the highest grade "habsyoche" is increasingly shrinking,which could be closely related to the daily lives of Koreans who get annoyed of keeping manners of formalities in their busy lives.The impact of transforming "habsyoche" to "haoche" and "haoche" to "hageche" in Korea affected the extensively used "haoche" in Yanji transformed to "haeyoche".In addition,focusing on the dialogues that appear in the two textbooks,according to the level of the hearer-raising principles,types thie final endings words and discrepancies exist in the two textbooks are researched and represented in the form of a table.Final ending words used for hearer-raising system show similar but no big differences in occurrence frequencies and sequences in the two textbooks,however,"haeche" and "haelache" with various ending words in themselves,shows varied ending words which are different from each other.It can be perceived differently in the degree of raising through the forms of raising system used in these two countries.In Korea,there were many opinions in the early 2000s that the sharply increasing use of the "Haoche" could be demeaning,and it was worried that it may cause confusion in the hierarchy of the language.Due to the growth and expansion of the Korean economy,the language is changing rapidly among the people in Yanbian Joseon minority region.Considering this fact,it is a limit meanwhile a future task in terms of the relatively slow change comparing with the real-life linguistic change.Thus I believe that more research is needed on the trends of change,including the extent and discrepancies for real-life reflections on textbooks.
