A Comparative Study Of Rhetoric Translation In The Chinese Version Of "Jangar"

"Dogshin Shar Gurguu",the most classic chapter in the epic "Jianger",is widely spread in China,Mongolia and Kalmykiya in both written and oral forms.The Chinese translation of "Dogshin Shar Gurguu" was first translated by Orgil,Ding Shihao and Se Dorji.Rhetoric plays an important role in the creation and performing of heroic epics,and it is also one of the important criteria for evaluating Jiangerqi's(the person who sings Jianger)singing level.This paper makes a comparative study of the translation of rhetoric in two Chinese versions,comparing the expressions of metaphor,hyperbole and antithesis of speech frequently used in the "Togxin Xirgurguu" in the two versions,and focuses on the translation strategies adopted by the two translators.The paper is composed of introduction,text,summary and references.The introduction explains the reasons for choosing the topic,current research situation,research methods,research significance and research materials.Chapter one compares the translation of metonymy and hyperbole in the two Chinese versions.It summarizes the advantages and disadvantages of the two versions from the perspective of domesticating and foreignizing strategies and puts forward its own views.Chapter two compares the translation of rhetoric devices such as antithesis,thimble and repetition in the two Chinese versions.It summarizes the advantages and disadvantages of the two versions from the perspective of domesticating and foreignizing strategies and puts forward its own views.Chapter three mainly discusses the domesticating translation and foreignizing translation,and which one should be adopted in the translation of "Jianger" into Chinese.In this regard,the writer puts forward own views and suggestions.The full text is summarized in the last part.
