The relationship between Teachers and students is a very important interpersonal relationship in teaching activities.In the second language teaching,the teacher-student relationship also plays an important role.In the overseas teaching of second language teaching,teachers who come to different countries and have different cultural backgrounds with the students.Under the influence of cross-culture,different relationship between Teachers and students will be formed.During the period of two years of internship in The Confucius institute at the university of Burundi i has met some issues about the relationship between teachers and students.But when i try to find relevant theoretical research that was really scarce,so here is this paper.This paper based investigation and case analysis on the relationship between teachers and students of the Confucius institute of Burundi university,analyzing the relationship between teachers who was in Confucius institute in Africa and students.The research object of this article are 100 Chinese students of the Confucius institute of Burundi university and 25 Chinese teacher who were currently working in the Confucius institute of Burundi university.Under the cross-cultural perspective,from four aspects which are the teaching idea,teacher’s role,classroom communication,the psychological distance between teachers and students i did the relevant questionnaire survey of the relationship between teachers and students of the Confucius institute of Burundi university,at the same time based on the cross-culture conflicts between teachers an students that in the classroom or after class made a more deep analysis of the students in Confucius institute of Burundi university.Through questionnaire survey and interview analysis,pointing out the current situation of teacher-student relationship in Confucius institute of university of Burundi,giving six suggestions for volunteer teachers of Confucius institute of Burundi university and teachers who encounter similar problems in Africa to establish a good teacher-student relationship.It enriches the relevant content of the teacher-student relationship in overseas Chinese teaching in Africa,hoping to provide a modest contribution to the theoretical research on the teacher-student relationship in overseas Chinese teaching.
