Learning strategies and motivation are important emotional factors that affect language learning and have a great influence on learning Chinese for the students in Burundi.An analysis of the correlation between the learning effect,learning motivation and learning strategies of students in Burundi can provide important reference value for teaching Chinese in Burundi.On the basis of referring to the relevant research results at home and abroad,this survey conducted a questionnaire survey on the basic personal situation,Chinese learning motivation and learning strategies of students in the Confucius institute of the university of Burundi,and conducted a phased test on the students to understand their learning effects.After taking back the questionnaire,SPSS17.0 software was used to analyze the factors affecting students' learning motivation and learning strategies,as well as the correlation between students' Chinese learning motivation,learning strategies and learning effects.The ultimate goal of this study is to understand the Chinese learning motivation and learning strategies of students in the Confucius institute of the university of Burundi,and to put forward specific teaching Suggestions according to the characteristics of students in Burundi in learning Chinese.The results show that the Chinese students in the Confucius institute of the university of Burundi have strong achievement motivation and tool motivation.Students are good at using compensation strategy and cognitive strategy.In addition,achievement motivation and integration motivation have great influence on students' choice and use of learning strategies.Students who use memory strategy and cognitive strategy can continue to play a role in learning motivation after achieving better learning effect.According to the characteristics of Chinese learning for students in Burundi,we put forward specific Suggestions from the perspectives of teachers,Confucius institutes and learners to maintain and stimulate learning motivation and improve learning strategies.
