Rural Expression In Urban Literature

On the basis of combing the history of Chinese urban literature,this paper focuses on exploring the rich connotation of "rural expression" in urban novels of "the late generation"."Rural expression" refers to the author's narration and description of the countryside in urban literature,including rural landscape,rural identity and rural metaphor.The basic idea of the research is to sort out the background of Chinese urban literature in the 20th century and the development of "rural expression".Focus on urban novels of "the late generation" in the "rural expression",and explore the important connotation of "rural expression".The existence of "rural expression" indicates that the urban novels of "the late generation"did not completely question the past and the present,but shouted in a special way.They are looking forward to a dialogue with literature,history,current generation and even the future in the chaos of The Times atmosphere and their own crazy roar."The late generation" born in the 1960s was at a special historical stage,and their special experiences deeply influenced their urban writing.These influences include the spirit of questioning and rebellion in the urban writing of the late generation and their desire for collective warmth.he late generation" could not get rid of the influence of the countryside.Their seemingly "light" urban writing was actually under great historical pressure.On the one hand,the late generation demonstrated their dialogue with Chinese rural culture and local literature history through conscious or unconscious "rural expression".On the other hand,the modern mood of questioning and dispelling conveyed in the urban novels of the late generation is not to destroy everything,but to try to establish the image of Chinese urban literature.This is the focus of this paper.The first chapter introduces the historical background of the development of Chinese urban literature and the evolution of "rural expression".As one of the representatives of urban literature in the 1990s,urban novels of "the late generation" presented the new characteristics of "Chinese style" urban literature by drawing on the experience of past urban literature writing.The new feature refers to the "city" under the comparison of western urban theory,and "the late generation" pays more attention to the influence of rural areas in Chinese cities on urban development.The second chapter sorted out the "rural expression" in urban novels of the late generation and classified it into "rural landscape","rural identity" and "rural metaphor".Through the analysis of the text,we know that although "the late generation" recognized the soothing effect of rural spiritual home on the soul,it refused to recognize the existence of eternal rural spiritual home.In addition,due to the existence of "rural expression",the principle of "individualized"writing insisted by the late generation could not be fully established.The third chapter is the focus of this paper,which discusses the connotation of "rural expression" in urban novels of "the late generation",The memory of "cultural revolution"influenced the urban writing in the late generation.In the contrast between the real city and the childhood countryside,"the late generation" yearns for the collective warmth and orderly reality that are missing at present.The late generation's appeal to the countryside made it impossible for them to refuse the dialogue with history.And in order to distinguish from the past urban literature,"the late generation" tried to construct a stable urban identity through the choice of"taste orientation" in the countryside.
