Social emotional,as an important part of early childhood development,is an important basis for the formation of healthy personality and good adaptability of children.The emotional interaction between infants and the outside world is of great significance in the establishment of early interpersonal relationships and social development,and will continue to the adolescent period and even accompany children’s whole life.In order to explore the way for social work to intervene in the emotional and social development of children in rural areas,this study took children aged 2-3 years in Y town as the service object,and through the distribution of 30 copies of the Chinese infant social emotional development scale(CITSEA),completed by the caregivers,the status of the emotional and social development of children in rural areas was understood.The results showed that the positive(abnormal)detection rates in the explicit domain,implicit domain and maladjustment domain were 57.9%,25.5%and 71.4%,and the ability domain was normal.In the three problem domains of explicit domain,implicit domain and disordered domain,P values are all less than 0.05,which means that the test results of explicit domain,implicit domain and disordered domain are different from the national level(norm value:63 points).Rural children have different degrees of emotional and social problems.To improve rural children’s social emotional ability,the integrated use of professional methods of case work and group work,in the medium of picture books,for rural children’s emotional social problem outstanding explicit and disorder domains of two level,mainly by negative emotions,companion attacks,the resistance,impulsivity,involved in four dimensions.The results showed that there was a significant difference in P<0.05 before and after the intervention of social work.There was a difference in significance level P<0.05 before and after misadjustment domain test.Therefore,it can be concluded that this intervention has greatly improved children’s emotional and social ability and achieved good results.Conclusion:the intervention of social work can,help rural families realize the importance of children’s emotional and social development and pay attention to their healthy growth.At the same time,professional methods of social work can effectively enhance children’s emotional and social ability and improve their bad behavior.In addition,in the social work practice targeted at children,picture books are a good tool and ice-breaking form.Through picture books,children can quickly establish contact and interact with social workers.Therefore,social workers can use picture books as a way of communication and skill in clinical practice and use them flexibly.
