Analysis Of The Witch's Main Arias Of The Musical Theatre "into The Woods"

There are different types of characters in each musical theatre works.The successful shaping of a character not only requires the musical actors to have profound skills in vocal singing,dancing,and drama,but also requires performers to do enough desk work that before shaping the role and deeply analyze the role which they want to create.Music plays a significant role in musical theater.Musical performers carefully study and analyze music in the drama based on the understanding of the script,which plays a decisive role in both the understanding of the story and the understanding of the role.By analyzing the arias of the characters in the musical theatre,the performers can not only understand the image of the characters in the mind of the playwright and composer,but also understand the inner world of the characters they want to create.In this paper,I have analyzed of the witch's main arias of the musical theatre “Into the Woods” to help actors better understand and shape the stage role of witch.
