The Research On Compilation Of Tibetan Chronicles During The Republican Of China

The tradition of local Chronicles compilation was officially introduced into Tibet during the Yong Zheng period.Since then,At the end of the Qing dynasty and the beginning of the republican of China,the national situation was in a precarious situation.Confronted with the turbulent times,the compilation of Tibetan Chronicles has entered a new historical period connected with the national movement.At that time,the compilation of the local chronicles in Tibet has been greatly affected,In particular,it is the ruler-led approach,and the way to organize the establishment of the Chronicles compilation organization has not been implemented in this area.Restricted by historical conditions,the official compilation results of Tibetan local Chronicles were published by the establishment of a revision organization in Si Chuan province,such as Chen Guanxun's Tibetan Chronicles.Similarly,the official compilation of the "new records of Mongolian and Tibet" is under the support of the Mongolian and Tibetan committee.In terms of private compilation,Liu Zanting,who followed Zhao Erfeng's foot in Tibet,has compiled 17 prefectural records of Tibet,including those of Qam Do,Bomi and Cha Ya during 14 years.It is the first time in the history of Tibet to compile gazetteers on the basis of counties with numerous numbers,abundant content and fresh writing.Hence,It has become a transitional stage in the history of the development of the Tibet's chorographies,due to a slow speed of Tibetan Chronicles,not to understand the history and culture of Tibet,most scholars take it as a literature reference to study tibet-related issues,and few researchers focus on the compilation of Tibetan Chronicles.Therefore,by analyzing the compilation forms,the contents of the styles,and the sources of historical materials,the aim is to objectively understand the historical status and value of the compilation of Tibetan dialects in this period.
