An Analysis Of Lukacs' Intermediary Category

Generally speaking,intermediary belongs to the category of indirect connection,which is mainly manifested in the link of contradiction,mutual connection,transition and transformation in the dialectical movement of things.Until the emergence of Hegelian dialectics,the category of intermediary began to obtain its specific theoretical provisions.Therefore,intermediary exists on the basis of the existence of dialectics,and intermediary becomes an indispensable link in the process of dialectics.Lukacs put forward the concept of intermediary category for the first time in History and Class Consciousness.However,his basic stipulation of intermediary was made in Hegel's way of thinking.Only in the dialectical application of intermediary,its object and scope have changed.Therefore,the research idea of Lukacs' intermediary category becomes very clear,that is,to extract the relevant provisions of intermediary from Hegel,and then to transform the object of intermediary connection from the concept of object externalization into the overall history.Combined with Lukacs' dialectics of totality,historical outlook and class consciousness,we can grasp the connotation of intermediary category concretely.In addition,we must base on Marxist standpoint and use historical materialism to measure the dialectical application of intermediary category in specific social history,so as to make a relatively objective and historical evaluation of Lukacs intermediary category.This paper focuses on Lukacs' thought of intermediary category,which is divided into the following four parts.The first part,mainly combs the current academic research results on Lukacs intermediary category,and analyzes the current research status.The second part mainly discusses the theoretical formation of Lukacs intermediary category,and elaborates the inheritance and transformation of Lukacs intermediary category on the basis of Hegelian theory,and then makes a pre-research and comparison of Lukacs intermediary category thought.The third part mainly clarifies the basic connotation of Lukacs' intermediary category,and through the specific application of intermediary category in social history,develops the connection with its relevant important theory,and explains what specific social reality problems the intermediary category method has solved.The fourth part mainly explores the theoretical and practical deficiencies of Lukacs' intermediary category,and objectively evaluates Lukacs' intermediary category from the perspective of the history of Marxist philosophy.
