Xiong Bingming Sculpture Art Exploration

Xiong Bingming is one of the artists of China’s early travel law.He has profound research on philosophy,calligraphy,literature and sculpture.His sculpture works explored the fusion of calligraphy,philosophy,literature and sculpture art,and formed the Xiong Bingming sculpture art with the characteristics of Chinese and Western cultures.Xiong Bingming,who is in a foreign country,is full of strong homesickness,which makes Xiong Bingming’s sculpture art permeate with strong local complexes.Whether it is the theme of the previous creation or the theme of the later creation,it contains hometown thoughts and Chinese traditional cultural thoughts.Western modern art techniques such as creative techniques and material language have been fully extracted and applied in Xiong Bingming’s sculpture works,making the ideas of the works fully expressed.His study of philosophy has also influenced his sculpture creation.This paper attempts to analyze Xiong Bingming’s sculpture art from the aspects of sculpture creation techniques,material language and humanistic feelings,and to sort out how Xiong Bingming explores an artistic road with unique Chinese cultural characteristics in the field of sculpture art by taking Chinese cultural spirit as the core and Western plastic arts as the means.
