This paper uses the paradigm of qualitative research to explore the theoretical structure of Tibetan adolescents' religious maturity and its development characteristics.A total of 37 Tibetan youth students who believe in Tibetan Buddhism(11 middle school students,26 university students,14 female students,23 males)were selected as interviewees,including 27 Tibetan youth students who have been living in Tibetan areas since childhood.Ten Tibetan youth students who went to the mainland to study in the late period.According to the grounded theory,the interview textsare encoded using Nvivo 11.0(N11)qualitative analysis software.Initially,897 open codes and 4 association codes are produced: religious identity,religious motivation,religious devotion and emotional experience;and 1 core code is formed:the hierarchy of religious maturity.Two theories are constructed: 1)Religious maturity consists of four aspects: religious identity,religious motive,religious devotion and emotional experience;2)the hierarchy of religious maturity.This study also analyzes the differences in religious maturity of Tibetan adolescents by comparing the source of data and the percentage of reference points encoded by Tibetan students in different regions(Tibetan area and Han area),gender and grade.It is found that: 1)the religious maturity of Tibetan adolescents differs in regions(Tibetan area and Han area),gender and grade;2)the hierarchy of Tibetan adolescents' religious maturity is more dispersed,and their religious maturity is affected by geography,gender and grade.The validity of the study is tested by the original data test method and the expert evaluation method.The reliability of the study is verified by the comparison of the results of the same data by 4 people.The results show that the study has good reliability and validity.
