This study explores the religious orientation of Tibetan adolescents in the form of qualitative research.According to the "principle sampling principle",the intensity sampling method was adopted,and 37 Tibetan adolescents were interviewed in depth using the open interview method.According to the rooted theory process,the interview data was encoded using Nvivo11.0 qualitative analysis software.This study produced 441 open coding and four axial coding: extrinsic religious orientation,intrinsic religious orientation,expansibility,and interactivity;formed a selective coding: The structure of religious orientation and the characteristics of its relationship.Finally,two theories are constructed:(1)the religious orientation of Tibetan youth is composed of extrinsic religious orientation and intrinsic religious orientation.The extrinsic religious orientations include: realistic orientation and spiritual orientation;the intrinsic religious orientation includes spontaneous orientation and conscious orientation;(2)the internal factors of religious orientation have the characteristics of expansibility and interactivity.Among them,expansibility includes the development of identity expression factors and the development of spiritual orientation;The interactivity includes: interaction between realistic and spiritual orientation,interaction between realistic and spontaneous orientation,interaction between realistic and conscious orientation,interaction between spiritual orientation and spontaneous orientation,interaction between spiritual orientation and conscious orientation,and interaction between spontaneous orientation and conscious orientation.This study compares the differences of the religious orientation and the internal factors.The results show that there are different degrees of differences in the gender,education and region of the Tibetan adolescents' religious orientation and the internal factors.Gender differences,the level of science education,the size of the age,and changes in the living environment all have a certain impact on the religious orientation of Tibetan adolescents.This dynamic development process makes the religious orientation of Tibetan adolescents full of complexity,diversity and variability.
