By using literature analysis, investigation method, the inventory survey method, data process, expert validity analysis and experimental method, this research developed a career maturity inventory which includes the most dimensionalities in our country, built the first territorial norm of career maturity in our country, delved the developmental characteristics of adolescent students'career maturity in Shanghai and analysed the gender, academica degree and grade difference and so on, and explored mental distance factors which will affect the expectation on career development.The participants are 2157 students in Shanghai,2053 of which are for inventory survey and 104 experiment. SPSS13.0 and LESREL8.80 are used for data process.The study arrives at following conclusions:1. The Career Maturity Inventory for Adolescent Students(CMIA) consists of two subinventories, the attitude subinventory includes independence, devotion, self-confidence, tropism, compromise and assurence, and the ability subinventory includes the ability for self-appraise, the knowledge about the wold of work, the ability for goal selecting, the ability for career planning, the ability for problem solving and the ability for information collecting;2. The norm of Shanghai is reliable and valid and can be used as a standard for adolescent students to compare with or data for sequelas to reference;3. Generally, the adolescent studens'career maturity in Shanghai is not so high, all the aspects of career maturity is not matury except self-confidence, compromise and the ability for self-appraise that are unconvincing matury;4. There are significant differences in academica degree, academic achievement, satisfaction about major, family income and if have internship experience of the CMIA, and in gender and grade of some factors;5. Verified the Construal Level Theory by an experiment and explored mental distance factors which will affect the expectation on career development.
