From Mei Su To Kitsch

Originally born in Germany,Kitsch has experienced more than one hundred years of evolution and eventually entered China in the late 1980s,becoming an important term for domestic cultural criticism and research.Through the use and research of kitsch in China,we can have a glimpse of the changes in contemporary Chinese cultural thoughts.This paper summarizes and summarizes the domestic kitsch theory and examines its history of introduction and acceptance in China.This paper outlines that the domestic kitsch theory has undergone a transition from kitsch to singularity.In the introduction part,the meaning and research background of the topic are introduced.The first part of the main body mainly discusses the various translation methods of kitsch into the Chinese context,including "Mei Su","Ji Shi","MeiMei","Mei Shi",etc.Analyze the focus of attention behind different translated names;the second part focuses on the focus of the domestic kitsch theory:the early kitsch discourse and its context,as well as the late attention to the relationship between kitsch and popular culture;to focus on the specific historical context of kitsch theory travel in China,and to make a variant of kitsch to China and a way of speaking in China.The traceability of the origin;final part is theconclusion,which summarizes the implications of the domestic kitsch study for the academic community.The main question of this thesis is the trip of "Kitsch" to China,the acceptance and feedback of Chinese scholars,and the inherent logic of complex reactions,trying to combine China's unique historical development,major political turning points in modern times,economic changes,etc.It can outline a picture of China's intellectual response in the process of moving toward a modern society.
