?jin Changjie's Short Story Book?Study Of Stylistics

Literature was the art of using language,was recognized as a language,and was imaged by thought.Therefore,writers expressed their own unique personality and also symbolic language in their works such as books.This is often referred to as the style.Generally,this style reflected not only the author's personal characteristics but also the social characteristics of the time.Jin Chang-Jie(???)'s novel was chosen in this study,because there was Jin Chang-Jie,a famous writer of the Korean-Chinese who was active in the late 1930s.Among his many short story selections,"The book of Before Liberation(????)”was especially popular.Hence,the purpose of this study was to study in terms of linguistics whether the personal characteristics of the author were reflected in the book as "The book of Before Liberation(????)”written by Jin Chang-Jie and,if so,how the ways and means of lexicon-stylistics were expressed.First of all,the frequency was investigated using the ways of lexicon-stylistics by extracting vocabulary that reflected the background of the time in the book as "The book of Before Liberation(????)"written by Jin Chang-Jie.In particular,by using special vocabulary in book as "The book of Before Liberation(????)" written by Jin Chang-Jie,readers indirectly felt the pain of the Korean-Chinese living in those times.Onomatopoeia-mimetic word,which represented an emotional and an affective reaction,was more frequently used for negative vowels than positive vowels.In other words,it could give a dark and heavy impression of book as "The book of Before Liberation(????)" written by Jin Chang-Jie.After all,the theme of this book was related to the plight of the migrants and oppression under Japanese colonial rule.In addition,through color language,the writer described not only the background of the gloomy era but also the characters.This was to enhance the imagery of the event by providing a visual stimulus to the event situations.The writer from Hamkyong-do province(northern part of Korean Peninsula)used dialect properly in his books so as to reflect the actual reality of the migrants.In particular,the native atmosphere of the book was implemented using dialectics in the terminating of the dialogue as well as vocabulary.In other words,this book could allow readers to not only imagine the life of the main character in detail,but also to feel the various emotions coming from the scene.Next,means of lexicon-stylistics were used such as metaphor,hyperbole,personification,an idiomatic phrase,and euphemism.Among them,the metaphor and hyperbole were used with an idiomatic phrase.Namely,this method could convey the meaning of the lines in a compressed expression rather than a long explanation,and increase the connotation and brevity of the writing.In conclusion,it was understood that the writer intended to convey the pain of the period to the reader in full through satire and humorous expression.Also,in this book,the author tried to express not only the poor reality of immigrants which come over here that emigrated during Japanese occupation,but also the pain and anger of the times.Through a variety of lexical methods including unique vocabulary use and metaphor,it has been deeply imaged and reflected in the book as "The book of Before Liberation(????)"written by Jin Chang-Jie.Therefore,these could allow readers to experience the moments directly or indirectly.
