A Study Of Buryat Folktales Types In Russia

This dissertation classifies Buryatia folktales with the international AT classification method of folktales,discusses and analyzes its type characteristics and variations rules.The dissertation consists two parts,respective A Study of Buryat Folktales Types and The Type Index of Buryatia Folktales.A Study of Buryat Folktales Types are the focus of this paper including introduction,main body and conclusions.The introduction ststes the research situation at home and abroad,research significance and means.Chapter one,Buryatia Folktale is classified into three types:World-wide story type,Mongolian story type and Buryatia local story type,the characteristics of these three types are also discussed.In chapter two,the inheritance and evolution of the same story in different regions and its cultural connotation are illustrated by taking the Mongolian folk story "son of bear" as an example.The third chapter,use folktale typology comparative study of Buryatia “pig diviner”story,discover the type of proven features and evolution.The Type Index of Buryatia Folktales is based on the current literature of Buryatia Mongolian folktales,the author classifies the types of Buryatia Mongolian folktales by using "AT" classification and "SM" classification.Each type is accompanied by a plot summary and corresponding AT and SM classification codes,main motif codes and type names.
