In real life, the attentional bias of fearful facial expressions is a common phenomenon. And some researches of attention have found periodic character of its process through its behavior oscillation phenomenon. To explore weather fear face expression have different impact when probe rhythmic state of attention on behavioral and electrophysiological aspects, present study uses fear, happy and neutral facial expressions as target stimuli probing the oscillation state of attention. For technological methods, present researches use behavioral experiments which explore behavioral oscillation of attention and event-related potential experiments which with high-time-resolution to explore neural oscillations. Both Experiment 1 and Experiment 2 are behavioral experiments which used to explore behavioral oscillations. The reset phase event of Experiment 1 is only one mosaic picture, and that of the second experiment is changed to a picture sequence. The experimental task is to determine the valence of the target face expressions. After traditional statistic analyzed, the behavioral data of both two experiments show there was a shorter response time to the fearful facial expression than other two face expressions.Besides, the significant difference of two coupling frequencies was not found in the second experiment. Then, the filtering analyzed results of experiment 1 found that the fear face expression showed something different from the other two after 2-5 Hz filtered in the standard score of the reaction time. And both of two experiments' the time-frequency results, found that the three facial expressions have detected the alpha rhythm in attention process, but the frequency band in the second experiment was more concentrated around 10 Hz.Besides, for the energy distribution, the alpha energy of the fear face in experiment 1 is stronger than that of the happy and neutral faces in the condition that the SOA is less than 400 ms.And the alpha energy of the fear face in experiment 2 is bigger than happy and neutral face expression when the SOA is less than 600 ms.In addition, the phase analyzed results of experiment 2 did not show a significant phase difference among three face expressions.Experiment 3 is an event-related potential experiment and use the face expression sequence with a presentation frequency of 8.55 Hz as the reset phase event. There are two types of SOA,and the experimental task is judging the valence of fear and neutral face expression.Behavioral results showed that fear and neutral faces have longer reaction time in longer SOA conditions. And P100 and P200 components appeared in the ERP results whose amplitude induced by fear face was smaller than that of the neutral face. The final time-frequency analysis found that 5-15 Hz band has different time-frequency energy distribution between 100-300 ms of SOAs.Based on these results, the conclusions of this study are as follows: 1.To a certain extent, the alpha energy intensity during dynamic attention process can reflect the attention bias of the fear face expression.2.When the fear and neutral face expressions appear in the same sequence, the attention bias of fear expression in sequence causes a greater impact on the fearful target face(P100).And the increased familiarity of facial expressions diminishes a deeper cognitive understanding of fearful face expressions(P200).3.On the electrophysiological level, there is also an alpha rhythm when fearful facial expression detected the oscillation state of dynamic attention process.
