With the continuous embodiment of English curriculum value,the promotion of new curriculum reform makes demands on the writing ability of senior high school students,that is,writing teaching should focus on cultivating students' ability to find and solve problems in real life.Anchored Instruction Model is a writing teaching model based on the Constructivism Theory,which aims to inspiring students' ability to explore,cooperate and solve problems by creating different situations.Therefore,this study explores the writing teaching of senior high school based on the Anchored Instruction Model.Based on the understanding of the present situation of English writing of senior high school,this article proposes and solves two research problems by adopting the Anchored Instruction Model in English writing teaching:(1)What is the attitude of students towards the Anchored Instruction Model applied to writing class?(2)Can Anchored Instruction Model improve students' English writing performance? During the two-months experimental teaching,the experimental class adopts the Anchored Instruction Model in English writing teaching,and the control class adopts Product-oriented Method in English writing teaching.In this study,two classes of students were pre-tested and post-tested in several.In the meantime,they were given questionnaires before the experimental teaching.After the experiment,questionnaire survey was conducted in the experimental class only.By using SPSS software,the data of mean,independent sample T test were analyzed,which leads to the findings that: in the experimental class,the score of writing is obviously higher than that of control class in the post-test.The post-test of the questionnaire showed that the experimental class had a positive attitude towards Anchored Instruction Model and their writing motivation and self-confidence improved to a certain degree.Therefore,the research shows that Anchored Instruction Model is helpful to improve the students' English writing performance of senior high school.The application of Anchored Instruction Model in senior high school has produced some teaching effects by the way of an empirical study.Consequently,the paper has research significance for English writing teaching and is worthy of applying in writing teaching.However,due to the short experimental time and other objective factors,this study also has some limitations.
