The Storytelling Strategy Of The Documentary "Father's Boat"

The documentary Father's boat mainly tells the story of Woodworking Lao Xie as a boat model for his elderly father.The narrative revolves around the clue of Lao Xie's boat model,and interspersed the real life fragments of the two in the storyline,expressing the love of the father and son with life.The thesis uses the theory of film and television narratology to analyze the story creation of the documentary Father's boat.In the first part,the application of the audiovisual language of this film is discussed.The lens language of the film is analyzed from the aspects of ideographic empty lens and documentary long lens.The emotion of the sound language in the documentary is analyzed from the aspects of music and simultaneous sound.The second part elaborates the narrative perspective selected in the documentary Father's boat,namely the internal perspective and the external perspective,multiple perspectives to develop the narrative vision,deepening the theme of the documentary;the third part is from the narrative and narrative structure.It clarifies the story presentation method of the documentary Father's boat,which uses fragmented narrative and integrated binding narrative mode to make the documentary closer to real life,and build a natural narrative structure based on maintaining objective records.
