A Preliminary Study Of Wang Qingfang's Art

History is written by generations of people and posterity,in which there is screening,and there are people who have had influence in a certain period.In another period,they may be forgotten or even submerged for various reasons.Throughout the history of Chinese art in the 20th century,Wang Qingfang(1901-1956)was not an artist who was almost removed from the history of art.Although he has many artistic identities such as painter,seal engraver,wood engraver,art educator and poet in his life,the academic circles not only pay very little attention to him at present,but also have few works to incorporate his art into thematic research.In view of this,based on the existing research results and new materials,this paper focuses on "A Preliminary Study of Wang Qingfang's Art:Taking Wood Carving as the Core",using multiple methods.Through the study of his two artistic identities,namely Wang Qingfang as a painter and Wang Qingfang as a wood carver,this paper mainly discusses and interprets his choice of painting art,painting style and painting concept.And why did he change from Chinese painting creation to woodcarving creation,and which stages did his woodcarving go through?What is the specific subject matter and style?What is the close relationship between its wood carving and its social culture?And so on,so that Wang Qingfang's art price The value and its historical significance are evaluated objectively so as to restore the original appearance of an artist in the historical environment of his time as far as possible.
