A Survey Of The Mastering Of The Laos Students In The Intermediate Stage Of The Verbs "Chuan" And "Dai" With Objects

As verbs,"chuan" and "dai" are often used in people's daily lives.They can all be used in front of the articles of service and decoration,but some nouns should be "chuan" or "dai".The criteria for the division of the two are controversial.At the same time,"chuan" and "dai" are typical representatives of the verb "dress up".How the Lao students master this type of verb,and whether they can correctly understand and use it,remains to be examined.Therefore,this study takes "chuan" and "dai" as examples,mainly through questionnaires and interviews to investigate the master situation of the Chinese language form "pretend meaning" verb and take object.The investigation found that the subject's mastery of the object type after "chuan" and "dai" was better than that of the object type.The average accuracy of the object type after "chuan" and "dai" was82.05 %.The average accuracy of "chuan" and "dai" followed by phrase objects is 73.98 %.At the same time,in the object of the word class,the noun object is better than the pronoun object.The average accuracy of the "chuan/dai + noun object" is 87.47%,while the average accuracy of the "chuan/dai + pronoun object" is only 73.93%.Regarding the mastery of phrase objects,the accuracy rate is ranked from high to low:positive phrases(88.2%)>Joint phrase(84.58%)>Quantity/index phrase(79.35%)> "of"(66.83%)> Azimuth phrase(62.84%).For the examination of the cultural attachment meaning of "chuan" and "dai" verbs,only about 50%of students can understand the semantics under the context,but only 6%of the people who really master their usage are on average.In addition,the knowledge of idioms and idioms of "chuan" and "dai" verbs among all the survey subjects is almost empty,even among the middle class Lao students.Among them,the average correct rate of verb idioms.containing "chuan" and "dai" is only 33.19%,and 67.2 % of the people in the survey found that they had not heard of similar expressions such as "wearing small shoes and wearing high hats." And 100 % of people do not know other than "wearing small shoes,wearing high hats" and other similar expressions.In this paper,the reasons for these problems are not only the factors of Chinese but also the factors of students,teachers and teaching materials.Finally,the corresponding suggestions are put forward from three aspects: student learning,teacher teaching and textbook writing,and it is hoped that it will help the Lao international students to master the Chinese language form "dress up" verb "chuan" and "dai".The thesis is divided into five parts:(1)Introduction,mainly from the topic selection,questionnaires and research status at home and abroad;(2)Investigation on the "chuan" and "dai" verbs followed by the object The authors examined the mastery of the words "chuan" and "dai" after the verbs and the object of the phrase;(3)examining the semantics of the "chuan" and "dai" verbs with the object,through the "wearing" Questionnaire design of "dai" verb idioms and idioms to investigate the situation of Laos students' cultural extension of "chuan" and "dai" verbs with objects;(4)Distinguishing the meaning of verbs from "chuan" and "dai" in Chinese From perspectives of textbooks,teachers,and students,we analyze the factors affecting Laos students' mastery of "chuan" and "dai" verbs in Chinese;(5)according to the factors affecting Laos students who master the Chinese "chuan" and "dai" verbs,Suggestions on textbook writing,teaching,and learning can help improve the teaching effect of “chuan” and “dai” verbs in Laos Chinese teaching.
