Since the 20 th century, economy and science have been developing and progressing continuously, but the process of civilization is at the cost of destroying the natural environment.Facing the increasingly severe natural crisis, more and more writers begin to pay attention to natural problems. They consciously integrate natural consciousness into their literary creation and criticize the negative factors brought about by modern civilization.Zhang Wei is one of the most representative ones.Although Zhang Wei's novels in various periods are somewhat different, his novels have a consistent theme, which is the insistence on “natural writing”.Zhang Wei's thinking about “nature” can be divided into four stages.Firstly,in the early 1980 s,Zhang Wei's novel creation focused on pastoral songs, while his praise of nature remained at the stage of praising and eulogizing. Then,in the late 1980 s,Zhang Wei began to turn from praising nature to criticizing and reflecting on reality, history and humanity.Thirdly, after 1990 s,Zhang Wei's literary creation in this stage was actually exploring a way of self-salvation and self-redemption."Integration" is his unique aesthetic conception when he appreciates nature, integrating into the wild, returning to nature and returning to the earth. This stage is also a typically concentrated reflection of Zhang Wei's "nature writing".Finally, since the beginning of the 21 st century,Zhang Wei has published his masterpiece You are on the Plateau, which is the summary of Zhang Wei's literary creation and the maturity of Zhang Wei's "natural writing".Combining Zhang Wei's novel works and the related theoretical research of natural criticism, this article makes an interpretation of Zhang Wei's natural writing in his novel from the perspective of his creative path of more than 40 years with a natural perspective. The introduction mainly combs Zhang Wei's creation and domestic research status. The first chapter introduces the natural world of the novel, including Luqing River, animals, plants, men and women.Chapter two summarizes four stages through the analysis of the development and evolution of "natural writing" in his novels.Memory and attachment: the realm of “Luqing River”;criticism and reflection: the realm of “ancient boats”;integration and retreat: the realm of “wild land”;sorrow and meditation: the realm of “plateau”.His novels show a reflection from the fresh and rustic pastoral scenery to the humanity,to the demise of the pastoral and the final destination—the wilderness, and finally the collision between the ideal home of “I” and the dream of moral utopia. The idealized self-salvation of "returning to local civilization" encounters inevitable conflicts in the development of real society, and finally finds that there is no place for the soul. The third chapter mainly introduces the artistic characteristics of Zhang Wei's novel creation in pursuit of "truth" and "poetry".Natural writing is the main line running through Zhang Wei's creation, and it is also the fulcrum of Zhang Wei's novel creation.Zhang Wei always adheres to the position of writing away from formalization and desire, and writes his ideal world in his own words.
