Dealing With Music Performance Anxiety-Case Study On Master Degree Bel Canto Candidates Of Shanghai Conservatory Of Music

A successful musician must not only have excellent musical and technical skills but should also have the capacity to withstand the psychological and physical demands of performing in front of an audience.This study aimed to assess the effectiveness and reliability of a list of sug-gested solutions provided to the attention of seven master candidates studying bel canto at Shanghai Conservatory of Music,in order to help them discover where they are at the level of their fears and enable them to deal with Music Performance Anxiety more effectively.The re-search method used for this study is an analytical survey.Data retrieved from questionnaires were analyzed and interpreted.Interesting correlations and surprising facts were found,and the sug-gested solutions were also found to be effective in helping to deal with Music Performance Anxi-ety more effectively.
