A Report On The Translation Of Economic Outlook For Southeast Asia,China And India 2017: Addressing Energy Challenges (Chapter 3)

This report is written on the basis of translating Chapter three of Economic Outlook for Southeast Asia,China and India 2017: Addressing Energy Challenges issued by OECD Publishing in 2017,which basically focuses on developing renewable energy in Emerging AsiaAs emerging Asia enjoys a rapid development,this region is facing a rapid increase in energy demand in coming decades.This report focuses on the current energy condition of and outlook for Southeast Asia,China and India,analyzes their problems in energy fields and gives corresponding solution to help them deal with energy crisis.The translation praxis is carried out under the guidance of adaptability theory put forward by Jef Verschueren.This report endeavors to apply adaptability theory to translating practice in dealing with problems at both lexical level and syntactic level in the process of translating official report.The finding of this report is that the adaptability theory functions effectively in addressing these problems.By doing so,the author of this translation report hopes to offer some help to translators to cope with texts of the type of this official report.
