Advice has played an indispensable role for us since ancient times, providing us with a certain reference value, which in turn improves our decision-making and,to a certain extent, shares the responsibility for our decision-making.(Harvey & Fischer,1997).Advice taking refers to the process of making reference to other people's suggestions in decision-making and forming the final decision. The extent to which proposed decision to influence the decision maker's initial decision is the degree of Advice Taking(Jungermann,1999).The proposed research on individual influencing factors has been carried out in the field of decision-making in recent years and is becoming more and more perfect. From the beginning of task-related variables and suggestion characteristics to the decision-makers' cognitive and emotional state, the personality characteristics of decision-makers in recent years have become Research hotspots.Self-uncertainty,as an important personality factor in the field of psychology, not only affects the individual's physical and mental health, but also affects individual behavioral choices.Self-uncertainty has two characteristics: traits and situations. In the current research, few individual-situational features are combined to examine the impact on the advice taking. Therefore, this study explores the effects of self-uncertainty on the adoption of recommendations through two experiments, and whether there is interaction between the two.At the same time, research shows that objective task difficulty and subjective self-efficacy also influence people's cognition in decision-making,and the degree of certainty of people's decision-making.Therefore we further explore the role of task difficulty and self-efficacy in the adjustment of the proposed adoption in this process.Experiment 1 uses mixed experiment design: 2(trait self-uncertainty: self-determination tendency,self-uncertainty tendency)× 2(task difficulty: easy, difficult)× 2(self-efficacy: low, high),task difficulty For intra-group variables, trait self-uncertainty and self-efficacy are inter-group variables, and the dependent variable is the recommended degree of adoption.Participants are 18-25 year old students.Experiment 2 uses a mixed experimental design: 2(state self-uncertainty: self-deterministic initiation,self-uncertainty initiation)× 2(trait self-uncertainty: self-determination tendency,self-uncertainty tendency)× 2(task Difficulty: easy, difficult)× 2(self-efficacy: low, high),in which the task difficulty is intra-group variables, state self-uncertainty,trait self-uncertainty and self-efficacy are inter-group variables, and dependent variables are recommendations The extent of adoption.Participants are 18-25 year old students. After experimental research and data analysis, the study has the following conclusions:(1)The trait self-uncertainty has a significant impact on the adoption of recommendations, and decision-makers with self-determination tendencies are more likely to adopt than decision-makers with self-determination tendencies.(2)State self-uncertainty has a significant impact on the adoption of recommendations, and the self-determination initiation group is more highly recommended than the self-determination initiation group.(3)Self-efficacy,task difficulty, and the impact of self-uncertainty on the adoption of recommendations.(4)In simple tasks, there is a significant interaction between the trait self-uncertainty of the decision maker and the state self-uncertainty;In difficult tasks, the interaction is not significant.(5)Gender differences in self-uncertainty and recommended adoption.Women's self-uncertainty is significantly higher than that of men,and in difficult tasks, women are more likely to adopt other people's advice than men.
