The Study On The Contribution Of Gongjin Magazine To The Social Renewal Of Modern Shaanxi Province

The GongJin magazine was started in October 1921.It was founded by Li Zizhou,Yang Zhongjian,Liu Tianzhang,Liu Hanchu,who all were the progressive students coming from Shaanxi province and once learned in Beijing.After the Organization of Common Progress establishing in 1922,the GongJin magazine became an organ magazine of Organization of Common Progress,then eventually suspended in 1926.It was a magazine with a relatively long publication time in The May 4th Movement Period.The GongJin magazine aims at"advocating mulberry catalpa culture and transforming Shaanxi society",with strong local characteristics.In the five years of its publication,the magazine has seen the publication of 105 issues,covering aspects such as ideological enlightenment,educational reform,anti-imperialism,anti-feudalism,anti-warlord,etc.Although it is mainly aiming at describing the Shaanxi society,the magazine has a nationwide and even global proletarian ideological development.The paper mainly adopts the methods of textual research and content analysis of the original literature,based on reading 105 articles of the magazine,combining with the background of the times and restoring the history,makes a relatively comprehensive analysis of the contribution on the renewal of modem Shannxi province.The paper can be divided into six chapters,ranging from the start of the magazine,its contribution to social transformation Shaanxi in all round,to the practical significance of the current social development.Chapter one is the introduction part;Chapter two introduces the process of publication,distribution and revolutionary thoughts of the magazine;Chapter three mainly aims at the exposition of the decadent and darkness of modern Shaanxi society by the Gongjin magazine,including the darkness of the governing authorities,the overflow of opium cultivation,consumption,trade and corrupt and backward Shaanxi culture and education;Chapter four mainly focuses on the study on political transformation of Shannxi in the magazine from the aspects like political issues,ideological education.Chapter Five evaluates the influence and significance of the Gongjin magazine from two parts.Firstly,it expounds the influence of the Gongjin magazine and its influence on the social changes in modern Shaanxi,promotes the process of the revolutionary movement in modern Shaanxi,and promotes the development of Shaanxi culture and education.Secondly,it points out the defects in Goingjin.And then it explains the Gongjin magazine and its enlightenment to the development of contemporary society from three aspects,showing effect;Chapter VI is the conclusion.The third to fifth chapters of the full text discuss the contribution of the Gongjin magazine to the social transformation of modern Shaanxi from different angles.Through the analysis and research of Gongjin magazine,it is found that Gongjin magazine,as a progressive periodical founded by Shaanxi students in Beijing during the May 4th Movement,is one of the important means for Shaanxi people to see the world,discover new things and absorb advanced knowledge.The contents of Gongjin magazine are always closely linked with social development.Its editors base themselves on the current situation,combine current affairs,express their opinions,discuss Shaanxi society,and put forward suggestions and guidelines for reform.In the context of the semi-colonial and semi-feudal,Gongjin magazine,adhering to the purpose of "advocating mulberry catalpa culture and transforming Shaanxi society",affect the Shaanxi's anti-imperialist,anti-feudal,anti-warlord,propaganda of Marxism,education and transformation in the positive way,and provided abundant resources for the study of Shaanxi at that time.In addition,the contribution of Gongjin magazine to the social transformation of modern Shaanxi has also become a valuable experience of current social progress.
