Research On Marble Painting Ethnic Artwork’s "Application For Intangible Cultural Heritage List"

Inheriting excellent minority ethnic culture is key to building the economy and culture of minority areas.Application for intangible cultural heritage list itself reflects the respect of ethnic theories and policies for ethnic culture and contributes to the increase in economic and social level of ethnic regions from the protection and development of cultural industries.Marble is stored in southwestern frontier of China,which has been the habitation of ethnic minorities and where various cultures exchange and collide with one another,forming the unique history and culture.Therefore,the communication and use of marble in Cangshan Mountain not only falls into the scope of Chinese ornamental stone culture,but also has the characteristics of art works and reflects the ethnic culture of ancestors of Bai nationality and the history of exchanges with dynasties of Han nationality in central China.Marble craftsmanship was incorporated in the second round of intangible cultural heritage list in Yunnan province in 2009 with Dali Cultural Museum as its responsible unit.Moreover,it is planned that from 2016 to 2020,it will apply for the national intangible cultural heritage list.Marble plays an important role in the formation of the Bai nationality culture of Dali.It is not only an important tool in production and life,but also a key component of folk religious culture.It not only reflects the economic life and spiritual outlook of Bai people in that era,but also leaves valuable cultural relics for studying the history of Dali.This thesis starts from the perspective of the excellent minority ethnic culture’ s application for intangible cultural heritage list,discusses the importance of the natural marble industry to realizing the industrial upgrade of ethnic regions and the protection of traditional culture,adheres to the principle that protection comes first and development should subordinate itself to protection,accelerates the identification and protection of intangible cultural heritage projects and representative inheritors,and provides support to the protection of cultural resources of Dali Bai nationality.The history of development for marble painting ethnic artwork has displayed the development status of the ethnic,social,economic and cultural development status of Dali and is the concentrated reflection of the transformation ofthe use and processing technique of marble with the deepening of social development in Dali Region in different historical periods.The sustainable development of the marble painting ethnic artwork culture is an important component for the “application for intangible cultural heritage list”.One of the major features of the thesis is to take the research of marble painting ethnic artwork,the excellent ethnic traditional culture,as its main thread,offers discussion from the perspectives of development,protection,and innovation,stresses the protection of traditional artworks,and provides countermeasures for the application for intangible cultural heritage list from the perspective of protection;secondly,in terms of research methods,the thesis mainly relies on field research method,literature research method,and text analysis method as the basis,integrates historical literature materials,and policy text materials of relevant departments,adheres to the principle of integrity,and integrates theories with practices in writing;thirdly,the objective of “applying for the intangible cultural heritage list”is for protection.Everything is aimed at protection,but at the same time we should also seek for proper development and use to realize coordinated development.As a traditional cultural industry,marble painting ethnic artwork has national characters.Meanwhile,its historical origin and cultural value enable it to meet the conditions and reality for the “application for the intangible cultural heritage list”.It is of great significance for the development of cultural industries with distinctive features in ethnic minority regions of Yunnan province and is able to drive cultural development and economic prosperity.
