With the development of Sino-Thai cooperation,the exchange of language and culture between the two countries is becoming more and more frequent.However,in teaching Chinese as a foreign language,Chinese characters are still the most difficult and difficult for many Thai students.Throughout the teaching of Chinese characters,although there have been a lot of research achievements,most of them are confined to the theoretical level.There are still many gaps in the combination of theory and practice in the teaching of Chinese characters.Especially,the teaching practice of Chinese characters for middle and advanced students is relatively few,so it needs further study.During his master's degree,the author was assigned to the Chiang Mai Rajabhat University as a Chinese teacher.In the course of practice,the author investigates the students' learning situation and learning needs,and designs the teaching of Chinese characters according to the teaching situation.From the point of view of teaching effect and evaluation,most students have a positive attitude towards the radical teaching design and increase their confidence in the learning of Chinese characters.Finally,the author summarizes the teaching design,hoping that this study can provide reference and help for the future teaching of Chinese characters in Chiang Mai Rajabhat University,and enrich the theory and practice of Chinese character teaching.The full text is divided into five chapters.The first chapter is the preface,which mainly introduces the background and significance of this paper,the related research on Chinese character teaching at home and abroad,the research ideas,research methods and research objects.The second chapter first analyzes the general characteristics of the Chinese character course in Chiang Mai Rajabhat University,then analyzes the actual situation of the Chinese character course from the aspects of learners,teachers and textbooks,and analyzes the reasons for the implementation of the radical teaching design.Among them,the analysis of learners is mainly discussed from four aspects:learning motivation,learning attitude and feeling,learning habits and preference for teaching methods.The third chapter is the core chapter of the article,mainly introduces the radical teaching outline,teaching content and teaching design.The teaching train of thought takes the radical teaching as the main line,supplemented by other main teaching strategies and methods.The radical teaching design is based on the teaching situation of the school and mainly combines the needs of the Chinese character class students and the Chinese character teaching material to carry on the design.This paper mainly takes "human" and"hand" as examples,and expounds from three aspects:Chinese character display,Chinese character interpretation,Chinese character practice and review.The fourth chapter is the evaluation and analysis of the effect of radical teaching,mainly through the student learning self-assessment form and student interview two aspects to discuss.The fourth chapter is the evaluation and analysis of the results of the radical teaching,mainly through the students study self-assessment form and student interviews to analyze and summarize the two aspects.The fifth chapter is a summary and reflection,while summing up the previous conclusions,the paper puts forward the existing problems,and hopes that the article can provide some teaching ideas for the teaching of Chinese characters.
