Parents suffering from mental illness will have an impact on their children's physical and mental development.Children whose parents are mentally ill have different degrees of mental disorders and emotional and behavioral problems,mostly manifested in shame,embarrassment,guilt,fear,somatization,interpersonal sensitivity,hostility,depression,anxiety,psychiatric symptoms and so on.Mental illness has a high genetic risk.Current studies mainly focus on mental health,living conditions,behavior habits and other aspects,while few studies specifically focus on the mental health of children whose parents are severe mental ill.This study follows the research idea of "putting forward a problem,analyzing the current situation,designing a research,implementing a result and conclusion".The characteristics and status of anxiety,depression,behavior,subjective well-being,self-awareness and coping style of children whose parents are with severe mental illness were systematically discussed by means of literature analysis,questionnaire survey and group counseling.We also conducted two-year expressive group counseling to investigate,observe,analyze and intervene the psychological status of children with mental illness.We also designed group counseling activities according to the "Five-finger Model of Youth's Positive Psychological Quality" to cultivate their self-esteem,creativity,frustration tolerance,team and communication five positive psychological qualities and abilities,promote mental health growth and enhance social emotional ability and social adaptability.Attention should be paid to children's understanding and feeling of parents' illness,popularization of knowledge about mental illness,and provision of help channels to help children face family difficulties actively.For minor children with psychological problems found in group counseling activities,individual in-depth intervention is carried out.The whole intervention program is based on group counseling,supplemented by individual interviews.Questionnaire survey,experimental observation and individual interviews were used to collect data from various aspects.In order to improve the mental health level of children with severe mental illness,and provide reference and basis for the future mental health education of children with severe mental illness.The main conclusions of this study are as follows:1.Subjective well-being of children with severe mental illness,i.e.overall satisfaction,ranges from basic satisfaction to considerable satisfaction,and the whole age group shows better overall satisfaction.The total score of self-consciousness of children with severe mental illness showed a positive skewness distribution,and the overall score was higher.The overall score of coping style of children with severe mental illness is lower than that of norm.There are serious deficiencies in coping style of subjects.Some children of patients with severe mental illness have depression,anxiety and behavioral problems.2.The four stages of expressive group counseling activities carried out in this time have been effective and have played a positive role in the intervention.The children of patients with severe mental illness have good results in improving subjective well-being,self-awareness and coping styles;the degree of coping with difficulties by fantasy and withdrawal has decreased significantly,learning ability has improved,and anxiety level has decreased.Fortune and satisfaction,academic satisfaction increased.The two-year expressive group counseling has played a significant role in promoting the mental health of the patients with severe mental illness by synthesizing the subjective evaluation and interview results of members on expressive group counseling activities.
