With the booming development of China's tourism industry,the number of inbound and outbound tourists is groywing continually.English as an international language is playing an increasingly important role in tourism.Based on students'weak English application ability and the difficulty of classroom teaching management,the effect of tourism English classroom teaching in secondary vocational school is not satisfactory,which cannot meet the requirements of tourism industry for the English proficiency of employees.Undoubtedly.these problems require the wits of teachers as well as their comprehensive classroom teaching ability to solve them.Higher requirements are particularly put forward for the management of classroom teaching.Effective classroom teaching management is the premise to improve the quality of teaching.Teachers in secondary vocational schools should not only provide students with basic anowledge of tourism English,but also put students'professional English skills and their self-management ability in an significant position simultaneously,so as to meet the demand of students'life and future career development.This paper tries to provide references for teachers in secondary vocational schools,hich are conducive to improving the quality of tourism English classroom teaching management and suitable for the development of students.Firstly,this study determines the specific connotation of classroom teaching management,and classifies the factors of classroom teaching management into four dimensions as teachers'self-management,order management,teaching content management and the management of classroom environment.Secondly.Through a period of interviewing with tourism English majors and their English teachers in Kunming Tourism Vocational School,analyzing the record of tourism English classroom observation.I found that although English teachers have made some progress in their professional ability and educational concept,but the effect of tourism English teaching and management is still not good enough.The traditional teaching mode is universal and lack of the cultivation of students,language application ability.English teaching can hardly meet the needs of students'development.Classroom discipline is good but students'common hidden violations and low level of participation reflects their weak sense of self-discipline.Then I analyze the factors that affect the management of tourism English classroom teaching in secondary vocational school from three angles,teachers,students and the objective limitations.Finally,in view of the problems found in the survey,according to the four dimensions of classroom teaching management,in this paper I provide some countenneasures of tourism English classroom teaching management from the standpoint of secondary vocational schools from these dimensions,which involve improving the personal accomplishment of English teachers,the editing of teaching content,changing the management mode,and constructing a harmonious classroom environment.These are put forward according to the features of tourism English in secondary vocational school.
