A Study Of Xin Yukun's Film Art Style

Xin Yukun's film works have a unique personal style,taking rural real life as the theme,showing the dark side of human nature,daring to touch and expose sensitive topics of society,and giving the characters the greatest humanistic care.Compared with most films in the film market today,this point is worthy of praise and reference.From the value judgment of the film itself,the description of the good and evil of people in the film and the revelation of moral problems in today's society are the reasons why Xin Yukun's film has become a good film.The story in the film is a microcosm of the real society.It answers the question of what is a meaningful film from the selection of topics and themes.Looking at Xin Yukun's film works,we can see clearly that his film language can freely express his observation and thinking in the film.His film style is becoming more and more mature,which makes it possible for him to exist outside the mainstream of commerce.At present,the special research on director Xin Yukun has just started,and there is a lot of space to be excavated.The research object of this paper is two films independently produced by director Xin Yukun.Under the guidance of related theories such as film narratology,film image and film sound,etc.through literature research and text research,it studies the narrative and audio-visual characteristics of the two films,Heart Labyrinth and Breaking Silence.It is found that although the two films directed by Xin Yukun belong to low-cost films,they have achieved the ultimate mastery of the content of the films.In the narrative of the film,through the non-linear and multi-linear narrative structure,symbolic metaphor,multiple perspectives and distinctive characters,the theme of the film is vividly expressed.Visually,through the continuous editing of time and space,changeable scenes and documentary scene scheduling,the film images with rich significance are presented.Audiologically,the narrative and pictures of the film are emphasized and extended through music that corresponds to the theme,sound effects of narration,dialogues expressing identity and environmental sounds highlighting details.Based on this,the two films "Labyrinth of the Heart" and "Breaking Up and Silence" have beensuccessful in public praise and box office.Therefore,director Xin Yukun's choice of film theme and the overall construction of the film have a strong reference significance for the shooting of low-cost films in China.
