It is a Chinese-English translation practice report,which comes out of the company publicity of Shandong Moris Tech Co.,Ltd.With the acceleration of economic globalization,many "hidden champions" have embarked on the road of market globalization in spite of their low publicity.The move requires not only high-quality products and services,but also effective corporate promotion Appropriate English translation of Moris Technology Co.,Ltd will help shape corporate image,increase economic and social benefits and seek the space of market competitionThe report consists of four parts.The first part introduces the project briefly,the second part describes translation process,and the third part focuses on case analysis.The paper applies the Adaptation Theory introduced by Jef Verschueren(1999)to the translation,and it will be achieved through two aspects:the adaptability of target linguistic structure and contextual correlates of target readers.The linguistic structure consists of lexical,syntactic and stylistic level,which is reflected in the conversion of word classes,interpretation of slogans as well as division and generalization of long sentences.And the language has to adapt to contextual correlates,so as to achieve the expected communicative context.By the means of omission and addition translation,the target text can adapt to the physical world and social world of readers.Finally,this paper makes summary and reflectionThis paper does research on translation of practical writings under the guidance of adaptation theory,which can provide suggestions for translation of similar promotional texts of chemical enterprises,especially noticing the notable differences of content,sentence pattern and publicity modality between Chinese and Western Company's profile.Moreover,it's better to have a certain model function to the publicity of many domestic "hidden champions".
