Cimon was a politician and strategist in the classical Greek period.He lived during the Persian War,when the Persian army invaded ancient Greece,and the Greeks fought to resist.In the battle of Salamis,Cimon became famous for his bravery.Subsequently,through the political marriage and command of the Athens Navy,Cimon won the battles including Eion,Eurymedon and other battles,and accumulated a strong political capital.Therefore,Cimon can quickly rise in the political arena of Athens;The series of military victories obtained in the Persian war and the maintenance of the national independence of the Athens city-state have played a crucial role.Through the study of Cimon,we can have a deeper understanding of the Persian war and the ancient Greek democracy.This paper intends to carry out research from the aspects of political and military activities,political thoughts and historical influences.This article is mainly divided into three parts;The first chapter introduces the background and the life of Cimon.Cimon lived during the Persian War that the Persians invaded Greece.In the face of the invasion of foreign enemies,the Greeks were enemies.In the battle of Salamis,Cimon was raised in the political arena of Athens because of his bravery.In the future military career,he was able to achieve a series of Persian with his superb command.The military victory played an important role in the final victory of Athens in the Persian war.The second chapter discusses the internal and external foreign policy of the city of Athens,the Sparta,the Delos League and Persia,as well as a series of military actions he commanded.The moderate democratic policy implemented by the city in Athens has eased the contradiction between the aristocratic faction and the radical democrats and promoted stability within the city-state.His pro-Sparta policy has maintained the stability of diplomatic relations between Athens and Sparta;Actively organize the leadership of the Delos League,especially to strengthen the construction of the Athens Navy to suppress the alliance rebellion,to avoid the alliance to be divided;to launch the Battle of Eurymedon,to counter the Persian aggression,this battle not only reversed the entire situation in the late Persian war,but also established The dominance of the Athens Navy in the Mediterranean region.The third chapter analyzes the historical influence of Cimon as an Athens politician and military strategist and evaluates its historical status.This article mainly evaluates Cimon from the two dimensions of the pro-Sparta policy and the pan-Greekism derived from it;from Cimon to the "navalization" of the Athens society,the construction of the Athens building,and the counterattack of Persian A series of military operations,etc.,analyze the historical impact of the Cimon on the Athens Navy,the Athenian democracy and the hegemony of maintaining Athens.
