A Brief Analysis Of The Application Of The Pedal Of Schumann's Piano Suite Op.2

Schumann is one of the most representative musicians in the European Romantic Period.His piano works have distinctive musical image,full musical emotion and typical characteristics of the Romantic Period.By analyzing the background and music image of Butterfly,and combining with my own performance experience,this paper makes a more in-depth study of the pedal application of this work.This paper is divided into three parts: introduction,body and conclusion.The first part of the introduction mainly introduces the significance of the author's topic selection,research purposes and research methods.The second part is divided into two chapters.The first chapter introduces the background and analysis of Schumann's Butterfly.The second chapter is the focus of this paper.This chapter is an analysis of the pedal application of Schumann's Butterfly.First,it briefly summarizes the classification of common pedal usage,and then explores the pedal application of Schumann's Butterfly combined with his own playing experience,including melody,harmony,rhythm,dynamics and special sound effects.The third part is the conclusion.Hope that through this article,can provide reference for other performers,so that performers can have a more accurate grasp of the use of pedals in actual performance.
