On The Artistic Features Of Schumann And Piano Suite’s Butterfly

Romantic music in Europe gradually developed to its peak in the 19th century.Musicians have made great innovations in music genres,among which the most prominent three advances are Schumann’s piano genres,Schubert’s vocal genres,and Liszt’s piano symphonic poem.Schumann,as a famous German pianist and composer in the 19th century,promoted the development of music throughout Germany and even in the Romantic period in Europe.He initiated the music genre of Piano Suite and combined several Bagatelle(music)pieces into one large piano piece.Butterfly is Schumann’s most famous piano divertimento.This paper discusses the creation background,artistic characteristics,style and my playing experience of Butterfly.
