Picture Production And Technology Of Dianshizhai Pictorial

This paper aims to explore the impact of picture production technology on picture creation and picture dissemination through the historical study of the picture production technology of Dianshizhai Pictorial.Firstly,the article combs the publishing industry background in the late Qing Dynasty and the birth history of Dianshizhai Pictorial,expounds the conditions for the production of Dianshizhai Pictorial at this time and the purpose of establishing Dianshizhai Pictorial by Ernest Major,the owner of Shenbao;and then,through exploring the technology of photographic lithography used in Dianshizhai Pictorial,from the perspectives of artists and external technical conditions.This paper combs the characteristics of the picture production in which photography participates,and studies the form and composition of the picture based on the case analysis of its picture.Finally,through the in-depth mining of the specific technical pictures in the pictorial,and according to the special cases reflecting its own characteristics,it analyses the influence of the Western introduction technology,the eastward spread of Western learning on the pictorial picture,and the training of the technical pictures on the picture viewing.The conclusion of this paper is that under the special historical conditions of the late Qing Dynasty,lithophotography brought by the West changed the original pattern of picture production.The picture reproduction with the participation of photography made it possible to reduce the size of the picture,thus improving the picture fineness and reproduction speed.The painter absorbs the characteristics of Chinese and Western painting in his creation and creates a unique style.Through the dissemination of Dianshizhai Pictorial,the audiences of news newspapers were broadened,and more Chinese people had the experience of obtaining information through pictures.The description of Western technology in Dianshizhai Pictorial also reflects a kind of improvement and imagination standing on the traditional position of China.Technology helps to construct a new visual picture through various aspects of influence.
