Research On Artistic Communication And Publication Of Dianshi Zhai Pictorial(1884-1898)

In 1884,Dianshizhai Pictorial,founded in Shanghai in the late Qing Dynasty by A British merchant,was the first illustrated news and current affairs newspaper in modern Chinese history.The pictorial composition,which is mainly based on pictures and supplemented by articles,has brought about a historic change in the status of images in news reports.At the same time,the painter has become the first author of news reports for the first time.At the beginning of its publication,Dianshizhai Pictorial published and published continuously and regularly by lithography on the basis of Shen Bao.Local Chinese painters created according to the reading habits of the people in the late Qing Dynasty.Once it was launched,it attracted the favor of ordinary people.As a pictorial newspaper with the longest publishing time and the most extensive influence in the late Qing Dynasty,Dianshizhai Pictorial has created the precedent of modern pictorial newspapers in China and also opened the era of news painting in the late Qing Dynasty,which is of great significance to the study of artistic communication and publication of pictures and texts in the late Qing Dynasty at the end of the 19 th century.Since the founding of Pictorial coincided with the Sino-French war,it mainly published hot current news and attracted a large number of audiences.This paper divided pictorial from the content dimension into four themes: important news,new knowledge and new things,anecdotes and karma,and elaborated one by one in the paper.Article from the point of field of "text" and "image",respectively,and then from the Angle of "narration" and "aesthetic",to explore the artistic expression of different effects,from "text" the artistic dissemination and publication of writing and expression,compilation and structure,technology and typesetting,the essay discusses three aspects,"image" of artistic dissemination and publication from the picture and visual expression,traditional and new change and the smell of hand painting and the scribes painters were analyzed,and the three parts and analysis after the "art" accommodation "literature" of the late qing dynasty social environment and the spread of "text and figure" effect,with two theories first,then the general train of thought,A comprehensive analysis of pictorial pictorial art communication and publishing.Finally,the paper gives some reflections on the communication and publication of pictures and texts in Dianshizhai Pictorial newspaper and the late Qing Dynasty,namely,the era significance of the artistic communication of pictures and texts in Pictorial newspaper and the way torealize the "new media" in the period of historical transformation,reviews the far-reaching historical significance of pictures and makes some prospects and reflections on the current development of "new media".
