Franz Schubert,Austrian composer and pianist,is the representative among the early German-Austrian romanticism composers.Schubert wrote a number of instrumental works,vocal works,symphonies and chamber music in his entire life and one of the most famous chamber music pieces is String Quartet No.14 in d minor,which is also known as Death and the Maiden.Being the perfect combination of classical and romantic beauty,this piece is a landmark achievement of Schubert's all string quartet pieces.It plays an important role in the development of string quartet and deserves to be explored in depth.This paper is divided into three parts: the first chapter briefly introduces Schubert and the time orientation of his compositions;the second chapter analyzes the music style and composing characteristics of String Quartet No.14 in d minor;the third chapter analyzes the performance technology and style of String Quartet No.14 in d minor from the aspects of dynamic,sound,tempo and acoustic layers according to writer's own performing experience,aiming to perform this piece reasonably and accurately.
