Since the 21 st century,children reading has received more and more attention from parents.As an important medium in the initial period of children reading,picture books gradually get attention from people.In our country,the initial stage of publishing picture books,introducing foreign versions to domestic is the mainstream,so our children accept the foreign culture for a long time.It is incomplete for their growth process,and it is also a pity for the inheritance of Chinese culture.China has the civilization with 5 thousand years,which is the great advantages in the creation of picture books.In recent years,a group of original picture book authors have emerged in domestic,who created many original picture books worth reading.Among the original picture books,there are many excellent picture books with Chinese traditional elements.In this paper,some representative picture books with Chinese traditional elements are studied by cases from the picture book's structure,picture,story and so on.By the case study combined with my three years of postgraduate painting creation,this paper discusses the creative experience of painting from the perspective of the aesthetics of the picture book.
